How To Multiply Your Reach & Your Income (While Working Fewer Hours!)

It’s true. There are only so many hours in a day. And like it or not, that hard limit does put a cap on not only how much you can earn, but also on how many people you can serve.

For instance, when you’re working one-on-one with clients, you might be able to schedule to be on three hour-long calls in a day. Sure, that’s only three hours of your time, and it probably doesn’t sound like much. But as a small business owner, you also have to:

  • Schedule your upcoming calls
  • Keep up with endless emails
  • Attend to your bookkeeping
  • Create content
  • Email your list
  • Manage your social accounts
  • Continue your own training so you’re always learning
  • And everything else that falls to you to accomplish

Not only that, but there’s this little thing called “life” that you have to fit in as well. You want to eat, shower, and sleep. Oh and also the fun stuff, like spending time with the kids, having a date night with your spouse once in a while, and maybe even going on vacation (without being on your phone the entire time).

All of those things and more take a serious bite out of your weekly schedule, and reduce the number of hours you can spend with one-on-one clients. And the fewer hours you spend coaching, the lower your income will be. That’s just math, and it doesn’t lie.

But what if you could reach 10 or 20 or 100 people on every one of those phone calls. Now that’s some math that we like, and you won’t even need a calculator to figure it out. What you will need is a group-coaching program.

Unlike 1-on-1 programs, group-coaching programs are slightly more hands off, which frees up your time and allows you to help more people reach their goals. Much of their training is self-study, meaning they get the benefit of your knowledge without the hand-holding they’d find in a 1-on-1 program. Best of all (for your clients), group programs are typically much less expensive so you can help more people to get results.

For the coach, the benefits are impressive as well. A group-coaching program allows you to:

  • 100 members at $47/month for 12 months = $56,400 per year
  • 100 members at $97/month for 12 months = $116,400 per year

Now what if you had 150 members?

  • at $47/month that is $84,600 per year
  • at $97/month that is $174,600 per year

It’s easier than you think, especially if you’re an established coach with a proven system. After all, you’re already providing the training to your current clients. All that’s left is to package it up for delivery to your group by creating self-study elements such as:

  • Recorded video training
  • Downloadable guides

Then once each week (or even once each month) invite your members to a conference call where you can answer their questions and help them over the rough spots. Add a private Facebook group for interaction among your members, and you’ve just created a helpful, profitable group-coaching program your audience will be thrilled to join.

And you, my overworked friend? You will finally have the time available to spend with your kids and your spouse. Imagine what that will do for your stress levels, not to mention your income.
