If you have a website, then you obviously want traffic going to it so you can get your business in as front of as many eyeballs as possible, right?
Of course you do!
So, there are two types of traffic:
1) Traffic A: This is the type of traffic that goes to your website, clicks around, and then leaves.
2)Traffic B: This is the type of traffic that goes to your website, opt-ins to your mailing list, clicks around, and then leaves.
Even though both types of traffic eventually leave your website, only Traffic B left you with their calling card (aka. their email address) – which means, you have a way to reach out to those visitors again.
However, the Traffic A group is pretty much worthless because you have no way of ever contacting those people again and inviting them back to your website.
If you want traffic that leaves you a way to get in touch with them, you have to have a way for people to sign up for your mailing list.
Which is why list-building is our #1 marketing method. Email is still the BEST way to reach the peeps who are interested in what you have to say and offer.
Facebook used to be a cool way to reach your audience too – until they introduced advertising, and now the only way for a business to get any leverage there is to pay for ads.
But guess what? 99% of the businesses running Facebook ads are using them to build their list because they know that email is truly the best marketing tool there is.
So we have to ask, how many ways are you building your list?
